The members of the 2007 St. Mary's women's soccer squad recently spent nine days in Italy where the Seahawks had time to square off against three Italian football clubs as well as take in the sights.
The Seahawks faced Torino, Juventus, and Valdarno in friendly matches and posted a 1-2 record overseas with an 8-0 win over Valdarno. Scoring for St. Mary's were Sophia Esparza (4g), Taylor Cervenka (2g), Abby Bishop (1g), Lauren Carrier (1g), and Erika Kenny (1g).
SMCM conducted its sightseeing in the towns of Alba, Florence, Montecatini Terme, Pisa, and Rome.
